This esoteric teaching is not well known in the mainstream. Although aspects of it are known to a certain degree, the actual teaching in its whole is not. And that’s a real pity because it means that people are not getting this message and are not having this opportunity to practice and change fundamentally. And that’s a great opportunity missed for everyone.
Not having true inner knowledge in the world, makes the world a worse place. Because there is no real alternative to getting rid of egos – only to have them. And, the world is suffering enough, there’s all this madness going on. People are ripping nature apart. Just for greed and profit, so they can have a newer car, more money, a bigger house, bigger stereos, and computers, and all this.
Nature’s being destroyed; beauty’s being destroyed. Overall, humanity lacks a sense of beauty. A sense of beauty allows us to perceive the things of nature, and to feel them within us in a spiritual way, because what perceives that beauty is the essence, is consciousness. And the people who are ripping down the trees and turning the land into desert have very little essence or consciousness manifesting within them, the essence is almost completely smothered with egos. That’s why they take pleasure in slaughtering the wildlife, while those that have a bit of awareness wonder how they could do such a thing. It’s because the egos are strong and are dominant. In nature animals kill each other, some even for pleasure. But as human beings, that’s not a way to be, and not a way to live.
We could live in harmony on this planet, in peace. There could be love between people, in a wider sense. Instead, we have wars, arguments, and fights. This is due to the lack of love amongst humanity, and because the consciousness is so weak.
The information that can allow real change is a gift, having that information, there is a responsibility to give it to others too. Because the very thing which gives that information, the spiritual, is the thing that can lead someone to the awakening, but it’s the thing that needs give-and-take to make it work. If someone is only receiving information, practising it, but not helping other people, then, they break that flow, of the inter-connectedness of nature, and of the cosmos, and become isolated and weak, spiritually.
In helping others we get spiritual strength. We become part of the whole system and we also then are agents to bring about change in the world, to bring about a transformation within individuals. And I say individuals because as a whole, humanity really doesn’t want to change, so don’t get too disappointed. Most people are just in love with their lower emotions, with that pleasure and pain, and don’t want to give it up. For that reason, destruction, wars, famine, and all this will continue in the world. It’s a natural consequence of the animal way of living.
But the message can get across to individuals who are out there. Individuals whose essence is a bit stronger, individuals who wish to find something spiritual, individuals who wish to change but don’t know how. By getting the message across, we take it to those people wherever they are in the world, and give them this marvelous opportunity: this great opportunity that we have, to make something fantastic out of our lives, something wonderful – to prepare ourselves for more than this life.
This is an opportunity to discover self-knowledge, change and awaken. Having knowledge, knowing why people behave the way they do, brings a responsibility to teach what is known. If you don’t, you just watch humanity suffering and do nothing, when you know what can be done to prevent or alleviate this suffering.
Everything in life exists in relation to other things, whatever is isolated dies, this same principle applies to spirituality. We get spiritual nourishment from being part of the flow of spirituality, and that’s in giving and receiving.
When we gain knowledge we also gain responsibility.
